Below are links and brief descriptions of each lesson learned in class. If you are absent, you can always access these pages from any computer or device connected to the internet. Some of the links may not be connected yet if we have not gotten to that lesson. Check the agenda on the main class page to see what we covered.

Objective: Students will understand classroom rules and expectations as well as the daily routine and procedures. A pre-assessment will be given and compared to the final exam on the last week of school to determine student growth through the block.
Objective: Students will learn to draw using observational skills by experimenting with sketching techniques such as gesture drawing, blind contour, and sighting.
Objective: Students will be able to list and define the Principles of Art as well as look at works of art to determine the artists' use of the Principles.

Objective: Students will be able to list and define the Elements of Art as well as look at works of art to evaluate the artists' use of Elements
5. Zentangle Foil Project
Objective: Students will be able to show synthesis of line and shape, texture and composition by creating a zentangle design and using glue to create raised texture which will then be foiled and rubbed with paint to allow the raised pattern to be shown.
Objective: Students will be able to define color theory and show comprehension of color theory by discussing how artists use color schemes to create mood or show emotion. Students will apply color theory by creating a color wheel mandala that illustrates the color wheel. Students will also apply radial balance to mandala designs.
